BOC Online Banking FAQs

Q: What is BOC Online banking?
A: BOC Online banking allows our customers a secure and convenient way to access their accounts using the Internet. You can access and print information on all accounts including loans, review and print transactions and statements, confirm deposits, withdrawals and checks cleared, transfer funds between accounts and make loan payments. You can pay your bills the easy and economical way with our bill pay processing system.

Q: How do I enroll in BOC Online?
A: Within the Bank of Clarendon website, click the ENROLL NOW link at the top of any page and follow the instructions to enroll.

Q: Can I change my User ID and Password?
A: Yes, they can both be changed as often as you like. After logging into BOC Online banking through our website, simply click on the circle icon that contains your initials in the right hand corner of the screen then click PROFILE.  In the left menu listing, select SECURITY then click EDIT next to your Username and/or Password to change.

Q: What if I forget my PIN/Password?
A: For security purposes, three consecutive invalid sign-on attempts will "lock you out" of the system. If you become "locked out", or you just don't remember what your PIN/Password is you can use the "Reset Password" link on the homepage. Using this option will require that you have a valid email address OR mobile phone number associated with your account and have created a personal question and answer. You will be prompted to answer secure information in order to change your password. For further assistance, contact a Customer Service Representative.

Q: What do "Current Balance" and "Available Balance" mean on the Transactions page?
A: The Current Balance is the amount that was in your account at the close of business the previous day, plus or minus any pending transactions. The Available Balance is the current balance plus any overdraft protection that you may have.

Q: What is Bill Pay?
A: Bill Pay is Bank of Clarendon’s FREE Internet-based bill payment system. With Bill Pay you can pay bills from any computer connected to the Internet. No check writing, no running to the post office, just click and your bills are paid. You can pay anyone in the United States from the next door neighbor, to the utility company, to a bank, and even a child in college across the country.

Q: With Bill Pay, when will payments be deducted from my account?
A: On electronic items, the funds will be withdrawn from your account on the date you specify as the payment date. For checks, the money will be withdrawn out of your account when the paid item is received by the bank, just like any other check you would write.

Q: What happens if I have a scheduled payment that falls on a weekend or holiday?
A: Scheduled payments that fall on a weekend will be processed on Friday evening. Any new payments that are scheduled over the weekend, for the current weekend, will be processed on Sunday night. Payments scheduled to fall on a holiday are processed the business day previous to the holiday (e.g., Friday evening for a holiday on Monday).

Q: How far in advance should I set up a payment to ensure it is paid on time?
A: Check payments should be scheduled 10 business days in advance of when you want the payment to actually be received at the payee. Electronic payments should be scheduled 3 business days in advance of when you want the payment to be received at the payee.
NOTE: You may want to set up a check payment to yourself first so you can see how the system works.

Q: How late in the day can I enter, edit, or delete a payment?
A: You may add payments scheduled Monday through Friday up until 12:00 Noon EST of the day the payment is to be issued. You may edit or delete scheduled payments up until 1:00am EST of the date the payment is scheduled to be issued.

Q: Can I have multiple payments to the same payee on the same day?
A: You can make multiple payments to the same payee as long as the payment amounts are different. For your protection, the system will not pay duplicate items in the same day.

Q: Can I stop a payment?
A: You may issue a stop payment on an unpaid check that you have issued through BOC Online. You may either issue the stop payment through the BOC Online Internet Banking system or call Customer Service. You may not enter a stop payment on an electronic item after the processing date.

Q: Can I edit payee addresses?
A: You will need to set up a new payee with the correct address and delete the old one.

Q: How do I know if a merchant is electronic or check?
A: After you have set up the payee, you can click on the Payees link and each payee is listed along with the payee type.

Q: Can I set up recurring payments?
A: Yes. You can set up recurring payments in the following frequencies: Weekly, Bi-weekly, Semi-monthly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-annually, or Annually.

Q: Will the memo field that I fill out when setting up a payment be passed on to the payee?
A: Yes, the memo field is printed on the check.
